Panther Mitigation Credits
The Florida Panther became federally listed as endangered species in 1967 and with numbers of panthers still extremely low, is likely to remain endangered for years if not decades. Southern Florida development often requires mitigation, which due to the wide ranging habitat of the panther can be a difficult challenge to overcome. By setting aside and protecting prime panther habitat, Florida Mitigation Technologies can provide mitigation credits throughout the region: a solution that protects the panthers and promotes development.
- Panther Mitigation Properties is located on 548 acres of property in a primary panther habitat zone as shown inside the brochure. The bank will have approximately 5,100 credits for sale to third parties. As this resource mitigation opportunity is limited, we are currently entering into purchase agreements with customers on this project at an accelerated pace.
